The frame of the protective enclosure is always a standard, modular structure. The frame can be clad with various materials, and as a standard product, we offer three different options. The choice of cladding depends on the application of the protective enclosure or cage—whether weather protection, visual appearance, or access control is needed.

LK-Weather Protection Perforated Sheet, Opaque
This perforated sheet provides excellent weather protection for walkways due to its small hole size. It prevents snow from accumulating on stairs.
The perforated sheet is always hot-dip galvanized and can be painted in your desired RAL color. Please specify the color in your request for quotation—special colors may significantly affect the price.

LK-Access Control Mesh 30x30x3 – Prevents Unauthorized Access
Choose the welded mesh 30x30x3 when you need to restrict unauthorized access to walkways and weather protection is not required.
The mesh, including the frame, is always hot-dip galvanized and can also be painted in RAL colors. Please specify the color in your request for quotation!

The protective enclosure can be used to clad various shapes of spiral staircases and straight stairs. The lightest version is the so-called 1/4 protective enclosure, which has a door in front of the first step and cladding at a 90° angle to the spiral staircase steps. At the other extreme, the protective enclosure covers a spiral staircase in a tower building all the way to the top. Between these two, there are protective enclosures that do not cover the entire spiral or straight staircase, but instead, for example, block access to the staircase for one or two floor heights.
